Is long-term wine storage allowed in a wine chiller? I have a refrigerator 24 bottles of wine, and I intend to store some of the bottles that I have gained over many years, 10 years or more. As long as I keep it connected and set at about 51-50 degrees, is there any foreseeable problems using it against a real wine cellar?
That is what they are designed for. The wine cooler, however, has a disadvantage in a real wine cellar. It has a very limited capacity.
Neither the cellar or the fridge does nothing for the wines of short duration, either. For a wine shop with success over a long period, it must have fairly high levels of tannin. The most whites fail in this department, and modern red is principally maintained for use within ten years. It is less common to find off the conservation of wines that keep well. If you want to store the wines for the long term, it is my opinion, you should obttain the vine and have a long conversation with the winemaker. Let her know your intention. They will then make their best selection of your desires. Good luck!
Incidentally, I never managed to keep a wine more than ten years, although I have outlined, this time for many. I think it should be a wine of life of mice in my basement drinking ...
