Window Curtain Designs

I would find a window curtain on the Internet to see if I can find something for a better value, but I do not want to risk buying a thin sticky, low, shiny fabric that looks horrible, no matter that the design of the curtain.

Is this the best velvet fabric? What are the other names of fabric do I need to know? I am not an expert with the names of different types of fabrics and would like to be enlightened!

There are many types of tissue, you can use. rayon / polyester blends of poly / cotton, brocade, cotton, too numerous to list. I am including a fantastic site that I saw from the past and very recently. They have an amazing sale right now! when you order if the sale price does not show on the invoice, but it does on your credit card. They sell outdoor fabrics, drapery fabric, upholstery, etc. I have bookmarked scored! love them. and high quality too.

EDIT: for a thick curtain, I would go w / a brocade.
