Clear, CF, or just normal?

The basic rule is clear glass bulb ....., clear. I imagine your Tiffany color, use a frosted bulb. If more than decoration, you can try a bulb color that will change the sounds in the background. CFLs will be whiter in color tone, unless you have one in the field 2700K, which will have a warmer tone color. Just stay within the rated lamp.
