Why can not intelligent people be blinded by their irrational instincts of man? Im a smart guy. I study physics, specifically theoretical astrophysics. I like philosophy, theology, Psych and sociology. I tend to be very rational, but sometimes I do envy those of animal instinct right ... such as the famous F (ucking * fighting, ephemeral, and food). At that point I can not control myself at all. What are the patterns formed in this type of behavior, and how can it be helped?
Instincts are supposed to protect us from harm, even death. So they must replace the thought, for a split second can mean the difference between life and death, especially way back when we lived on the bare plains of Africa. The four "F" that you mentioned are all essential to our survival. The urgency in both sex and the fight or flight feelings reflect the precarious, unpredictable and dangerous environment we lived in.
Our technology has far exceeded our ability to cope with these instincts and obviously complicates our lives now that we live in complex societies. Just look at all the baby daddies, senseless killings, and anxiety disorders that we have. As George Carlin once said, we are hardly out of the jungle.
A good solution to your dilemma would be for you to branch how an irrational, poorly thought, self-destructive rock the planet is. I was a child as nerd-smart in school, but my rear deltoids me more in one year that my mind has now gone in my life. It is a sure sign that we humans should not be here for our instincts to go against our true form as defense against external threats is our spirit. Ironically, this is detrimental to your physical well-being is often pleasing to the mind, which is another sign that we took a wrong turn into a bad life.
But on a lighter note, you will die soon and could have the opportunity to go to jail in advance, so it's not bad at all.
Well, we are animals. Yes, you are educated, but in a human institution based on the ideas of man before you. Who knows, everything we know today would be laughable in a thousand years. We are animals after all, and our instincts are our instincts, and they can not be called irrational. Nobody knows why we have, we just have to learn to deal with them in our own way.
Biologically we are animals. It is in our nature to defend / fight, eat and reproduce. Sometimes our body is not in tune with our mind. After all, our body is just a case in which the spirit of our controls. there's really no need to discipline yourself so hard on this because you're a man, and you want to do what instinct tells you, such as wrestling. much of it has to do with your hormones. but I think the best thing to do is to relieve the wants time to time. it does not hurt to do it, and it will probably do you more good than harm.
