Shabby Chic Curtain RodsHome Decor - Shabby Chic Decorating Ideas for kitchen use today!

If you are looking for shabby chic decorating ideas to use in your kitchen? Here are some fun and easy ideas that I personally used to include shabby chic decor in this room so important to home-cooking.

Start with an inventory of souvenirs and trinkets you love most recent and could be used as home decor shabby chic in the kitchen. Memories that I used in my kitchen have a shabby chic wooden box old recipe, measuring spoons vintage old wins tin, miniature railway, a pact antique pink ceramic dish with lid and spoon design service, a tea and a few vintage photos in antique frames.

Decide where you can display your items. I used a high corner shelf, wrought iron with four shelves to display items above. On each plate, I draped a lace doily hanging over the edge of the plateau. What I liked about this collection was that it was hidden in a corner and the traffic flow, and at the same time, it was very interesting. It was a wonderful way to display memories instead of having packed in a box.

Shabby chic home decor like vintage bowls, trays and vases can be displayed on the counters, then brought to life by actually using them. Your family and your guests will appreciate the uniqueness of their past and their present beauty. For most family holiday dinners I go out the family legacy bowls and trays. What a great way to remember those good 'ole days!

kitchen curtains are a great way to add that look shabby chic with a unique touch. Instead of traditional cafe curtains, use a scarf valance made of beautiful cotton shabby chic. Instead of the usual skirt scarf draped over a rod using a scroll-type hook, drape the scarf as usual on the brackets, then tighten the scarf in each hook in the back to create a "circular inflated" look each corner of the window. This is very attractive and unique holds over the scarf in place. The sides of the scarf hang halfway down the window of interest added.

A chandelier of wrought iron with a distressed finish is a great shabby chic home decor more on the dining table in the kitchen. It adds a personal touch to the decor shabby chic without being too formal.

Remember, shabby chic decor can be used in any room of the house. Let your imagination and ingenuity to create a flow of beautiful and unique shabby chic look to your home.
