Can I store both red and white wines from the wine cellar phone even? Hey guys,
I think buying a mobile wine cellar for storing wine my friends gave me. I know that red and white wines should be in different tempature for storage, but I'm not sure if I can put it in the same cave? I see there is a double wine cellar temperature but stores like 40-100 bottles! I'm not a big drinker and do not want to spend a little money. anyone has any info or knows if I can get one of those 6-9 bottle wine cellar and have both white and red wine in the same boat in the same tempature? Thank you
As I know, the tank temperature for red wines and white is the same. And the operating temperature differs.
Keep in mind that the wine cooler and wine cellar are two different things. You talk about a wine cooler. The small wine coolers tend to be set for temperatures of white wine, which is too cold for red. The wine coolers are sometimes more than double the temperature. So the answer is probably no. You'll need to check the wine cellar that you are looking to see where the temperature is regulated.
Some red wines will improve their flavor when they are kept in a bottle for a few years. This is not true with white wines than aging is good, therefore, wine coolers typically used for aging red wines.
A full cooler is better then a vacuum. If you have the room, then I store my white, but make a point to drink quickly.
