Panel Glide BlindsPanel Track Blinds, a fashionable alternative to vertical blinds

Vertical blinds are the inevitable solution for sliding doors and large windows. Almost every house or apartment I ever rented was vertical blinds. They look good, but they lack style and originality. A relatively new option is available: blinds sliding panels, which are also called cursor panels or panel tracks. They are much more sophisticated research can lend a modern designer-look in your home.

Panel tracks are essentially overlapping fabric panels that glide on a wheel-track. The panels range in width from approximately 48 "to 192" and lengths to fit most windows and sliding doors. The panels, which are obviously larger than most vertical blind panels are composed of fabric, woven wood or a material sunscreen. If you want a warmer, natural look go with a woven wood materials. The choices are very similar to bamboo shades or woven wood shades with similar materials, bamboo, grass, matches, or a combination. The fabric panel options are numerous. You can choose colors that let the pure light or darker fabrics that offer more privacy, all in a variety of colors. The material of the sunscreen options, similar to pure tones, are usually translucent, providing see-through, and sun protection. This is a particularly good option for large windows with views. Sunscreens are at different levels of opacity of 3% to about 14%.

blinds sliding panels can even be used as a room divider affordable. This option is very cool. I saw this in small rooms and large rooms, even in offices as an alternative to cabs. It is also an excellent option for lofts which tend to have very open floor plans. You can even buy parts for different seasons or when decorating. It is very easy to exchange panels. The possibilities are numerous.

Panel tracks are more expensive vertical blinds, this is not a real fair one-to-one comparison. But most of the vertical blinds are just vinyl, which is very cheap, whereas the slopes of the panel are made with more expensive materials. But the finished look is much, much better. A well chosen title blind panel, color and material that best suits the scene, may provide a level of sophistication than traditional vertical blinds can not match.

An additional advantage is the material that comes with panel tracks, a wheel-track that glides almost effortlessly. This is a very nice touch of high quality and very different from many economic vertical blinds that can be a bit awkward. At the opening of these stores simply roll back panels overlap between them.

A limitation of panel track blinds, which can be minimized, is that when you open the panel completely blind over the window will be covered due to the greater width of the panels compared to traditional vertical blinds. This is the case of vertical blinds, as well as the stacking that occurs, especially on the large windows.
