Oak Blinds

Oak BlindsCan I blind natural oak paint?

I have this natural oak blinds installed when we bought the house. she is so beautiful, but do not match my furniture. I can paint without breaking the bank?

You better take another in the long term ... a lot of work to begin.

if there is not "finished", I do not see a problem with it ... if they are finished with a varnish that you would have to sand them and then paint them.

not a good idea, just buy new

As the first speaker said, you can certainly paint the blinds. If they have a glossy finish (and I'm sure there's some protection on the finsih blinds) you must remove the paint finish, unless you blind with something similar to "Kilzer." It ' acts a primer that can be painted gloss finish. Once dry, you can not scratch with your fingernail. Then you can apply paint to color in this.
I do not know if the bait comes in a spray, but it would be easier than trying to paint each slate interconnected. Try to give a thin layer. Then the final layer of color must be thin enough to just cover the primer. You want to avoid the accumulation of paint on the blinds, or they'll look 50 years old and look like they have been painted 50 times.

Good luck!
