Levolor RodsWindow Treatment Brands to the introduction

There are several large companies that manufacture custom window coverings. In alphabetical order, are: Bali, COMFORTEX, Graber, Hunter Douglas, Kirsch and Levolor. Most people are not very brand names in the industry. There's nothing like automobiles or other well-known consumer products. And, of course, there are other small manufacturers who produce cheaper, ready-made blinds and shades. For example, if you went to The Home Depot and bought a ten dollar mini blind, it is likely that in China by anonymous, unknown company.

These manufacturers all have slightly different positions on the market, have been active during different periods and specialize in different things. It should also be noted that each brand offers window treatments at different prices. From most expensive to least expensive brands should be listed as follows: Hunter Douglas, Graber and Kirsch (similar), COMFORTEX and Bali.

The largest company by far is Hunter Douglas, which is actually a multi-national based in the Netherlands. They are also probably the most recognizable brands of window treatment in the world. They are also generally more expensive. But if you want the top of the line window treatment is the brand for you. Hunter Douglas blinds virtually invented lightweight aluminum, also known as Venetian blinds. And they have many other innovations of the most remarkable is that cellular shades launched in 1985 under the brand name, "Duette honeycomb shades." Its origins date back to 1919 but it was not until 1946 that they began to make window coverings, aluminum mini blinds above. Their U.S. headquarters are manufacturing in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey.

Then just Bali. However, Bali is actually a brand name of a great company called, Springs Window Fashions. The headquarters of this company are in Middleton, Wisconsin, but they also manufacture some of their window treatments in Mexico. Springs also sells two other brands of window treatments, Graber and Nanik. And, the company manufactures blinds, shades and curtains for retailers who are labeled as private label or as "store brand." It is likely that if you bought a house brand of a major retailer in online or brick and mortar, is a product Springs.

COMFORTEX was founded in 1986 and has its headquarters in Maplewood, New York, which is near Albany. COMFORTEX is now a wholly owned, independent subsidiary of Hunter Douglas. The company also has a manufacturing plant in Phoenix, Arizona. COMFORTEX is a company that prides itself on innovation, particularly in the field of window treatments high efficiency, such as cellular shades, cellular phones and other vertical blinds.

Levolor, Hunter Douglas beside is one of the most recognizable names in the processing sector of the window. The company was founded in 1914, and was probably most familiar because it mini blinds 1 inch, also known as micro blinds. Today, the company is a division of the multi-billion dollar consumer products company Newell Rubbermaid.
The head office is making Levolor in High Point, North Carolina.

Kirsch is another company with a long history, it was founded in 1907, where he began the manufacture of curtain rods. An interesting note, all the curtain rods in the movie, "Gone With The Wind" were Kirsch rods. Products have also been featured in other films. It seems strange that a company with a long and rich history would be unknown. In 1923, the company has built half a million of square feet of manufacturing in Sturgis, Michigan. And then, in 1956, the company has added another 250,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and storage Thei.
