Full Spectrum Lamp

Posted on July 29, 2011.
Full Spectrum LampIs this a desk full spectrum lamp as a light station?

I have a desk lamp that uses a full spectrum bulb. I wondered if that could double as a lamp lumen. I have a basil plant in my room, but he does not get much sun through the window. The garden stores sell different types of fluorescent lamps, including full spectrum. Is there a difference in the desk lamp with full spectrum light and specialist plant?

The full spectrum light work, but will not be as effective as the central light. plant lights are biased towards the red end of the spectrum, which is the most plants absorb. The older types of fluorescent lamps are very low in the red part of the spectrum, and does not do much for plants.

I have grown plants using the window light with 100 watt (300 watt equivalent) 5500K compact fluorescent bulbs, and they grew up, as it was sunny. The most important thing is to bring light to close the plant without burning it.

I doubt, but you can check the color of the light, it should be listed and then compare. I think the power is too low

nope. it'll never work, especially for the basil.
suspend your basil outside the window somehow.
He will love you for it!
