What is the concept of blindness to a blind person? I wondered about this for some time. I know that those who are blind see nothing at all, and those born blind do not even understand the concept of sight most of the time.
However, if someone was to somehow lose the eyes or sight (accident, illness, etc.), which would be missing the sense to detect?
Would they "see" the dark while pure black, like when people close their eyes? Or are they just simply not able to identify this effect, like two people trying to telepathically communicate with each other? Or is there another answer altogether?
Interesting question.
I think people who have had the vision, then lose visual system outside the brain will "see black.
However, there is another form of blindness called cortical blindness. Then part of the brain that receives visual signal is damaged. Not only do these people not see, but they are not aware they can not see is they do not panic and "Hey, I've gone blind!" Help! ". They look like they are trying to see, they will turn to people talking to them. Only when you ask them directly if they can see something, they will say: "I do not know."
I thought that for ages
