Closet Door Light Switch

Closet Door Light SwitchFlashlight door switch wiring question?

Renovate Basement - walk-in closet sliding door - - light switch to turn when the door is open, off when closed. So I turned the camera off, set up the lighting closet, then I zapped when I tried to put in the switch. When I touch the son of the switch (both black) to white (12 / 2), it hums. I'm just a girl trying to save a dollar or 100. The electricians are spendy because they are so smart - can someone assist? Thank you

CAUTION, you're dealing with a leg switch.

Whites may be a point of sale. (Electicans try to record using a white wire as possible.)

A switch breaks the son NEG No assets are required, but both can be in the same outlet box swicth.

Wished I was there to help you on your own.

Your line is fed back through other channels. Do not connect black to white. Connect white to white and a black wire to a screw on the switch and the other black in relation to others. Good luck :-)
It does not matter what the black wire from your box to pass this thread on the switch

The switch is, in essence, cut the black wire hot. Run the hot black to the switch then the light switch. White should also go to the light.

If you only have 2 son in the box where the switch is happening does not matter which wire goes where, but if you have more than 2 son in the box that you want to use the two black son and not white is neutral and the whites should be spliced
