Black Curtain Rods

I'm hanging curtains for the first time. LOL. I do not know what I do. I bought curtains black and white curtains easy to go under the blackout. I guess I need two rods. Should I hang the curtains for a slightly lower than for black curtains?

They have two rods in such a situation as this, it would be a bit easier than drilling four seats and save yourself extra hassle.
