Lighting bathroom? I would like to replace the lamp vanity in my bathroom, but I have trouble finding one that mounts on the ceiling. We examined all the usual places ... Lowe's, Menard, Home Depot, etc., and online. It must be mounted on the ceiling because I do not want to leave a hole in the ceiling repair or make a new one in the wall. Does anyone know an online site where they sell good ceiling mount devices?
Find in a lighting store or service, not just the section bathroom vanity. They are almost exclusively from the wall. Consider the style of your bathroom and look at other types of devices are not traditionally associated with a bath. For example, I had clients put chandeliers in the bathroom formal. Others have used school style pendants Arts & Crafts-inspired bathrooms. That look of your room to guide you. If the ceiling will be your only source of lighting for the bathroom, make sure it is bright enough for applying makeup, shaving, etc.. Consider a dimmer if you want more options for more sweet time relaxing, like taking a bubble bath.
These places make what you want. Do you not find the style you want?
There are several sites such as LampsPlus.com if you do a search on the web.
You might also consider runway lights or lights that you can insert in the ceiling. They are those that can be mounted in an existing ceiling.
LampsPlus.com is great. Lots to choose from. Depending on the style you go into your bathroom, why not try a chandelier or a mini-track lighting. runway lights have come a long way, and there really good taste them now.
Good luck!
